As recognition of our industry grows, there are opportunities for individual members to help represent InsurTechNZ to other Associations. For example, FinTechNZ is preparing a research paper on Open Finance and invites an InsurTech perspective. Interested in contributing to this initiative or topics for future events? This month’s event canvassed the InsurTech scene in Australia, which is both a growth market and source of innovation and partnerships. Many technologies contribute to customers’ experience when buying insurance, and not all are what we would describe as InsurTech. At our next Connect event on 10th March we will hear from three New Zealand start ups; Tell Frankie, APLYiD and Ambit. These companies are specialists in property operations, identity verification and conversational AI respectively, and each in their own way is contributing to changing perceptions of how to engage with insurers.
Events will be virtual for the time being, and we welcome suggestions for speakers and topics. See our calendar for dates. Multiple people from each member company can join so invite a colleague.
