InsurTechNZ March 2022 Newsletter

Member events are an important part of building a collaborative InsurTech community. This month’s ‘Member Connect’ featured three start ups who are each improving the customer experience, saving time and reducing costs. We heard how partnerships and APIs are improving onboarding for APLYiD’s clients, why brands with large customer bases are using Ambit’s conversational AI to offer more self-serve options, and how Frankie’s operations control centre for commercial building managers is improving preventative maintenance and reducing the 10-27% of annual opex related to insurance. Missed the session? Catch the recording here.

Our colleagues at FinTechNZ are leading a review of Open Finance and Digital Equity, investigating the potential to create a consent-driven data sharing environment that enables innovation across the finance, insurance and wider financial services to improve New Zealanders’ financial outcomes. Interested in learning more? The Report will be released on 30th March.

Our Association is about sharing ideas and making connections, and it’s great to receive endorsement from the community, like this comment; “Bravura Solutions is delighted to join InsurTechNZ. We have over 30 years’ experience building and delivering innovative fintech to leading financial institutions around the globe, with a deep and longstanding connection to the NZ insurance industry, and we look forward to contributing to this exciting initiative.”

Kind regards,
Dale Smith, Co-chair & Blair Turnbull, Co-chair
