The application of data and digital solutions promises much in the way of improved customer satisfaction and reduced churn for insurers and brokers. At InsurTechNZ’s Member Connect event on 5th May, a panel discussion will discuss best practice UX discovery techniques within an insurance setting and how technology is positively impacting the customer experience during the claims process. We’ll also hear what the research says consumers want from brands.

Jeff Pryde
- Managing Director New Zealand - Claim Central Consolidated
Jeff Pryde was appointed Managing Director of New Zealand for Claim Central Consolidated in November 2018.
Jeff has more than 34 years of experience working in the insurance industry both locally and globally. He has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience in management roles, loss adjusting, catastrophe management (CAT) and client development.
Jaz is a UX & product strategist who has worked on products with global reach including Pushpay, Hapara & Sentro. She establishes user-centred product development methods in growing teams to drive measurable impact on business success and customer satisfaction.
Jaz has designed successful apps for NZ enterprises including NZX, Flip, PlaceMakers & Tend Health, recently winning Gold for Best Digital Product and Gold in User Experience in the DINZ 'Best Awards'. She runs the NZ UX community UXNZ.org and provides coaching on UX & product strategy.
Paul Barton
- Founder and Managing Director - Bounce Insurance
Paul is an insurance professional and the founder and Managing Director of Bounce Insurance Limited. Bounce, the first of its kind in New Zealand, provides parametric earthquake insurance to support the recovery of households and small-and-medium sized businesses. Bounce offers coverage of up to $20,000 for households, and up to $2m for commercial customers, with a commitment to settle claims within days after a big shake.
Paul saw the devastation and the financial hardship that results from large earthquakes and formed a view that upfront cash payments within days of an earthquake would help build financial resilience and support the recovery of individuals, businesses, and their related communities.
Tim has been leading some of the world’s most recognizable brands in customer experience, digital transformation and brand ecosystem innovation for over 15 years in New Zealand, Asia, Europe and North America. As the founder of PilgrimCX, he is determined to use that experience to help New Zealand brands become world leaders in Customer Experience.
